Day 40 --- The OY or OI Sound

Objective: Learning the OY sound and finding out the words troubling you
  1. Please read the tip on the OY sound.
  2. Click on the >> to view words grouped in patterns. Personally, I didn't realize that OY is a diphthong which means you have to say the short I sound at the end as OI. Therefore, when you practice this sound, make sure that you complete the sound.

Using the video clips to guide you where you shall position for the OY sound.

There are only two patterns having the OY sound. One is the OY and another is the OI. You can right click on the list box to see the patterns.

If you feel comfortable pronouncing a word, you can remove the word by pressing the delete key.

You will need to invest 15 to 30 minutes a day to go through the list. It may take a week for you to go through the list. Don't worry about if you remember the pattern or not because you will remember it later.
